Ceramic Platters
These are ceramic serving platters or wall art made from clay, the mud of the earth, weeds from the fields that never had to be planted, and fire which brings them to a glowing red. Just simple ingredients and very elemental; hopefully from this simplicity can come the real beauty of art. They start as clay dug out of the ground that is rolled out to a flat slab and cut to shape, the weeds are then gathered, when they're in season, and pressed into this slab of clay. Next they are put into a special mold or form that puts them into their plate shape.
